With your analytics permission, page and product views, PDF link clicks and successful PDF opens are stored as daily totals in our own database. Prescription products, SmPCs and patient leaflets are reported only as totals per product/document, without location, device or campaign breakdowns. For other content, approximate country/city, site language, device category, general traffic source and any campaign code may be reported.
Location is estimated by a local IP lookup on our server; visitor IP addresses are not sent to a geolocation service or saved in analytics records. We do not record names, persistent visitor/session IDs, full referrer URLs or search text. Daily reports are retained for approximately 13 months; random event hashes used to prevent duplicate submissions become eligible for removal after 24 hours. The preference cookie (vefa_consent) lasts up to one year and is shared between the www and main domain. You can withdraw permission at any time using Cookie Settings in the footer. Refusing permission does not prevent use of the website or PDF/QR access.
Separately, PDF/QR access requests are counted only as daily totals per document. This counter does not use or store cookies, IP addresses, personal/session identifiers, location, device or referrer/campaign information. A browser revalidating a cached document may also count as an access. These totals do not represent unique people, QR scans, completed downloads or reading. Access to existing PDF and QR addresses is independent of this counter.
